View Full Version : Did Thunderbolts come lowered

I want to lower my 2003 4.0 Thunderbolt 2/3. I did a search and many people say the thunderbolt came lowered 2/2 ,is that true, mine is level 3 {top model}. Im prety sure that mine isnt lowerd ,it has 5inch gap in the front and about 6 inches in the back {No pics}. does that sound like its lowered . Is that about the stock hieght{gap} on a 2wd 03 4.0 ranger.and not the edge 2wd they made those hire ,i think.

no back in the end of 02 and 03 it was easy to come by but they where discontuned after that i guess from not a lot of interest
you can find a few on e-bay

Not true, they came stock height most of the, it was an handling option/lowering that was optional which consisted of 2 inch springs up front and leafs out back.

I remember ford offering a lowering kit and it used a monoleaf out back with coils in the front, not sure if that was the one they used or not.

w8ng4snday Jan 05 2007, 05:22pm my 2/3 always seemed lower than others, even before the body kit. also, i have the 4.0L so that helped drop the front a bit more

wow i was gonna do the same kit with a 5/6 glad i seen this first with a 5/6 it would be a tad to low for me. My truck is same color same ex cab with the same kit im just gonna do a billet grille and probally some silver 17" cobra rims maybe 18" i think the 17 will fit the look better.
