There are no impact sensors in the front of your 05 truck. They are inside the Restraints Control Module in the interior.

Just replacing the airbags will not turn off the airbag light.

During airbag deployment, the crash data event recorder (in the RCM) stores data about a few key parameters. It also stores code 19 (RCM Crash Data Memory Full) and lights the airbag light.

To get rid of the airbag light, you would need to either replace the RCM or try to have it reset. As I understand it, the RCM reset would require special equipment that Ford dealers do not have.

After you get the ABS sensor properly repaired, the ABS light should go out by itself.

anyone know what the RCM runs? and ford doesnt then who does not the sensor either just the plastic clip broke apart, and whats a code 19,You can sometimes find a good used set of airbags complete with the RCM on eBay for way less than new. Just be sure to get bags from the correct year range. In your case, that MIGHT mean 2004~2006. DON'T take my word for it, though. Check with a dealer or other parts info source.

whats a code 19,Hmmm...as posted above:It also stores code 19 (RCM Crash Data Memory Full)
