View Full Version : Ranger tailgate tronny Jan 09 2007, 09:55am I have a tailgate off of a 1996 Ranger XLT (not Flareside) I was wondering what years this tailgate can fit, so I know what to advertise when trying to sell it. As far as getting one from a dealer -- the one I've got is functional, it's just ugly. My truck was hit in a parking lot by a vehicle taller than it, and the other vehicle's bumper badly bent my tailgate. I took a hammer to it and banged it out enough that it will open and close, but I do need to replace it someday. tronny Jan 09 2007, 06:39pm so 93-2007? It came off my old 96 ranger, I had it off when i got smashed from behind. Bought a newer one (2000) that IS a flareside, so i have no reason to keep the old talegate. dakotahq Jan 09 2007, 08:27pm yeah...it'll match up on any ranger from 1993 and up...and it'll fit older ones i think...someone on here has it on a Gen 2, but the shape and body lines are way off... tronny Jan 10 2007, 05:15am Ok so 93+, thanks. Next question might be a little tougher or more of an opinion... What are they worth? I've never dealt with buying/selling vehicle parts other thna getting some new parts from a dealer for a car. The tailgate is white and from my knowledge has no dents or dings or scratches. The inside part (if closed it is inside the bed, open is whats facing up) has some of that rubber bed lining attached to it. Handle works great. Any help is apreciated! |
