About a year ago, I was driving on a backroad around my house and an armadillo ran out in the middle of the road. I knew better than to try to swerve to miss it so I straddled it going about 60-70 mph. My Mazda B3000 is dropped 2/3 so I definitely didnt clear it, and ever since, my mileage has been stuck on 123,996 miles. any ideas as to what could have been knocked loose underneath my truck?

what made you wait a year to see whats wrong with it first off? and that is wicked funny. you may have knocked off the cable if there is one for the odo. maybe

I think there is a cable with a little plastic gear hooked up to the transmission. That's my thought until someone else come along with a definite answer.

check the wire that goes into the transmission because that could have been knocked loose

If your speedometer and odometer are both not working, it could be the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the transmission or the wiring to it.
If the odometer doesn't work but the speedometer is still functional, then the problem is in the instrument cluster.
