I've noticed a popping noise coming from the passenger side front wheel when I go over a bump. Then today it started to do it when I turn the wheel sharp. I'm thinking maybe the tie rod end is bad but that's just a guess...I don't know anything about suspensions. Can someone help please?

Tie rod or ball joint maybe. Never good no matter what it is. What a PITA!!

If it is popping going into and then coming out of a bump/rough road it could be what I have, a bad Radius Arm Bushing. You can check that easily. Mine if you jack up the front end(not by the radius arm) on that side you should see some movement/gaps forming as it goes up and then it should pop going up or down on the jack, that would tell you its bad. At least that is what mine does.

Usually a bad tie-rod end you can feel through the steering wheel. You can feel it vibrate. To check the tie-rod end just grab hold of it and check to see if it has an movement up or down. Also, you shouldn't be able to twist it back and forth very much either. If it has movement up/down it's completely shot and needs to be replace asap. Tie-rod ends arent that bad to replace yourself, however you should get it aligned after you do it. I would also recommend replacing the tie-rod ends on both sides and not just one side.

I can't feel anything in the steering wheel...but I did have someone in the passenger seat today and he said he can feel the popping under his feet when I turn a corner. No, I haven't messed with the springs since I got the truck in 02. I guess I'll jack it up this weekend and see if I can move anything around.

I had a similar problem when turning. Turns out the drivers side sway bar linkage was broken.

Check the shock on that side. Look at the upper and lower shock bushings also.A bad shock can knock if it's lost it's charge or had failed internally.
