vehicle: 1996 supercab Splash 3.0 auto, 5" drop f/r
Front Suspension: DJM beams w/ Steeda 2" coils
Rear Suspesion: Flip kit, DJM shackles, removed bump stops.
Wheels: F-18" R-20" coddingtons

I want to haul a motorcycle and all the crap(tools, ice chest, chairs, stands, gear) I'll need for trackdays. The bike weighs about 400lbs and the crap close to 100lbs. Truck does not have a notched frame, instead I removed the bump stops and ground of the lip for a little more clearance. The axle will hit the frame on big bumps/dips without a loaded bed but only occasionally. My question is would air shocks or helper bags be the best way to go? I really do not want to notch the frame but if it's cheaper than air and will work well for my needs I may notch instead. What do you guys think?

I think you should notchthe frame before you hit a pothole at 50+mph and cause seriously damage to your axle. I'd go Cnotch AND air shocks.

def need a notch and i'd go with bags... air shocks arn't designed for that... take a look under a semi and tell me what you see...

Well how much weight do the semis haul compared to what he will plan on hauling for such a short time, nothing wrong with airshocks if you want to haul something once in a while.

i have used air shock when towing trailors. worked wonderfully. infact, i have them on my truck right now just to help keep the driveshaft from rubbing.

def a notch and airshocks.

that was with just a flipped axle...it sat on the frame. it was one rough ride.

Thanks for the help fellas. Will the bolt in notch from SuicideDoors http://suicidedoors.com/Bolt-inC-NotchKit.php fit my truck?
Any suggestions as to which notch and air shocks to use would be appreciated.

I'd say helper bags man. Real easy to add.
