Come springtime, I'm going to have to do the front brakes on my truck. I had planned on doing new pads and drilled and slotted rotors. I have since been told that slotted and/or drilled rotors will wear out pads quicker...True or False. Also, is it worth upgrading to the 95+ calipers and what all is involved. I don't really plan on running big wheels anymore, so i don't need the extra stopping power, but what can it hurt...all info is appreciated.

i think to convert to the 95+ brakes, you just need the spindle, rotor, caliper, etc.

I went to the +95 brakes on my 93 splash cause 95 are a duel piston caliper and the calipers have a better slider pin setup. That and someone is making a cobra 13inch brake conversion for the 95 barkes. 13inch fronts with 11inch explorer rears, should stop I think.

yes, spindles, rotors, calipers/mounts and brake lines. I found that my stock lines from the 93 calipers didn't fit well.

I would just go with racinrangers 13" set-up, just my 2 cents
