Aight well i posted this in the 3.0 section and havent gotten any real help yet hears the deal.......

Aight well i was driving my truck and the engine light came on so i pulled over turned it off hooked my superchip to it and read the dtc's and it said their was multiple/random cylinder misfires, well i cleared the dtc's, so i filled up again today and after a couple of min. the light came on again! this time it said multiple engine misfire, then misfire on first 1000 revs, then misfire in cylinder 4,5,6!!!!! What in the world is going on??????

My Taurus did that and it was in dire need of plugwires @ only 60k miles.. I did a good tune up and it cleared it up...

Did you do anything lately...Mods, parts, etc?

Last time for plugs?
When was the last MAF cleaning?
Miles on plugs, air filter cleaning and wires?

i have underdog-pulleys, magnaflow exhaust, and a superchip, and k&n drop in. Truck only has 21,000 on it, so nuthing has needed to be replaced yet

A bad CMP sensor could be a possibility.

Too much oil on the K&N can create all kinds of havoc - I'd check that out and clean the maf.

aight well i took the superchip off for awhile to see if it came bac and it did, so i put it bac on, ran 1 tank of premium through it. Filled it up again ans so far after 100 miles the light hasnt come bac on. My mechanic said it might just be bad gas. I was using raceway when this occured, so now im using chevron pemium and problem has gone away and truck runs better than ever! =)

Raceway is ethanol enhanced gas in most areas. They blend it to keep the price lower. I refuse to run the stuff!!! Everytime I try it I have problems of some sort.....

You don't want to get bad gas. I get gas at a local store that always has good gas at the lowest pric intown you can't beat that. I would just make sure maintenance is up to date clean the MAf run good gas in it.
