View Full Version : parallel 4 link w/ bags on bars? Dan48p Jan 29 2007, 08:53pm has anyone setup a parallel 4 link with the bags on say the upper bars? nusensesd Jan 29 2007, 10:13pm its possible but without a watts link why do it? Your not going to get the huge lift you think your going to get cause the rear is going to shift to much side to side.. There is nothing different about putting the bags on top of a parrallel bar as it would triangulated.. You get the lift with triangulated cause you don't have to worry about side shifting.. msturg Jan 30 2007, 06:57am You could always run a 6 link type setup similiar to the KP component kits. Just run 2 more bars, probably backwards with a pivot arm. I also would suggest a watts link with this type of setup though iLLblazer Jan 30 2007, 08:54am You could always run a 6 link type setup similiar to the KP component kits. No problems with it. If you are concerned with lift just go with the triangulated and mount the bags on the bars. msturg Jan 30 2007, 09:22am I'm doing one, but no one seems to like my thread. haha:sad2: lol, I haven't looked at it much at all because I thought you were lowering a ranger 2/3 from the title, hahahaha. crickett Jan 30 2007, 12:12pm Yo dan48. Where are you located. It seems we are building the exact same truck other than the year of the truck. badblackranger Jan 30 2007, 09:59pm i started with a parallel 4 link with bags over axle and then later made rear lift bars like mentioned above to make it similar to a kp kit. Works great Dan48p Jan 30 2007, 10:31pm i was just thinking that the parralell setup might give me a stronger footing and more traction w/ the bigger engine. maybe i'm wrong. i just don't want to start breaking **** with the v8 and the limited slip. a triangulated would probably be good enough, just kind of brainstorming to see what else i might do. |
