My check engine light came on last night so I had it scanned at AutoZone today and the code was PO141 and the full description is, "The PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the heater circuit for oxygen sensor 2 bank 1... oxygen sensors 2 & 3 are typically mounted after the cat... bank 1 I intifies the location of cylinder #1..."

I'm not sure what a heater circuit for an oxygen sensor is, and neither does anyone else I've asked. The truck doesn't run funny or make any weird noises.

Anybody know what this is or what I need to do?
thanks.

it's part of the O2 sensor - Some have a heating circuit to bring them up to temp faster so they can do their job.

Here's some reading on how it all works:

Basically to fix this CEL you're gonna have to replace the faulty O2 sensor.

Hey man, thanks for the link. That explained everything great.

Looks like I'm off to get a "HO2S" tomorrow... yay.

The light came on last night when it started getting cold so it may go back off when it warms up, but I'd rather have everything working right because I don't have good luck with all this electrical crap in cars...my Mustang and my old Focus both tried to kill me.

Google is a wonderful tool, and pretty easy to use. That's how I found the link.
