I'm new to this site, but have already found it useful. I have a 94 ranger with a 2.3 sohc motor the one with eight plugs. I put a thermostat and water pump on it recently. As soon as I goy it back on the road it started squeeling and before I could get out to check it out it died with no fire. I put a new timing belt on with no change and found out the crank sensor went bad, it actually broke the center blade off of it. I baought another one from the auto parts store because I couldn't find a used one (new=$120). I put it on and the pulley or the blades that are on the balancer are rubbing. I checked it out and the blades were tweaked in a few areas I tried to straighten them out but it still rubs, I figured it bent because of where the last one broke. I'm having trouble finding one so if anybody has one nearby or if someone has one that they will mail me I would gladly pay.
