I can't get the left front axle out of the carreir. The universal broke and tore the end of the yoke up. The axle will slide back and forth about a 1/2 an inch but woun't slide out.
Do i need a slide hammer or somthing?

After you've removed the spindle nuts, there's nothing that holds it in there on the inside of the diff. I'd pull on it harder. The slinger sometimes sticks a little, but other than that they slide right out.
