I don't know what it's talking about. I have a diagram of where the IAT sensor should be but when i look at the place there's no spot for a sensor. Any anyone help me out here?

Just a reminder, IAT and ECT codes can often result from performing the EEC Self Test on a cold engine.
oh ok. so if I have them idle the truck for like 5-10 min. they might not come up? The CEL as been on ever since i replaced my master cylinder and the one bypass switch that goes on the clutch petal that lets me start the truck. That' was like way back around november
codes are still comming up and my gas mileage is still just as bad, 227 to this tank vrs. the 330 i used to get... i dont know what's going on with this. It idles high if i shut if off and turn it back on while its warm and if i go too high in rpms in a gear it will stick there after i take my foot off for a few seconds and go back down. If anyone can help me please let me know

Did you find and replace the IAT yet? If it's not screwed into the intake, then it might be mounted in the air filter box.
iat in the air box? I'm wondering if it's that little prongy thing just under the air filter... i'll check it out. If i unplug it while running i should hear a difference in the engine right? If there's no change i should probly replace it?

The IAT is a sensor that measures the temperature of the intake air. Having it located in the air box is not all that uncommon (that's where it is on my SHO).
I doubt unplugging it at idle will make much of a difference, but driving around with it unplugged may be another story (although I suspect that the PCM can calculate subsitute IAT values using other sensor data which would allow the engine to run fairly decently.
I have to drive to my friends town like half an hour away tonight so i'll drive there with it unplugged, write down the mileage, and drive back with it plugged in and see if theresa difference
