Dude I keep trying this HDR stuff, but I can't really get it. This is about as good as I can get it. Here's a before and after picture I took, I think the second one does actually look a bit better. Better colors and stuff:

I think the problem is that I'm not using Photoshop enough...I just found another tutorial that kind of explains more in-depth of what I need to do. For that particular photo, I only used 2 pics I think. One had the exp. comp. at -2 and the other was at +2. If I added any more layers, it got too dark to see anything. But that's okay, I'm gonna try some different stuff next time.

you have to have about 3-5 if not more to make a good HDR image. It's not a necessity that you have to got -1 or +1, expose for the best light, then expose for the best dark and one in between and you'll have a good image.

seems pretty easy, I'm gonna use this with the next few snapshot contests :)

Casio cameras are crap... I sell cameras all day and they suck. They have noisey sensors, icki distortion, and not the sharpest lenses... makes a good point and shoot cam but hard to produce anything that's really in-your-face WHAMMO awesome without editing the living daylights outta the pics. bleh. they're pretty though :P

You should totally get a D40 ;) or at least a more "advanced" point and shoot like an A-series Canon... or Nikon P5000...

Or you can just prepare yourself for some layering/masking and levels/saturation/colorbalance work... roughly done in a couple mins, but still, you can milk the picture if you absolutely have to...

The noise and softness - nothing you can do there, that's the camera, tripod definitely helps, also no digital zoom (you probably know this)... and also, your S600 has image stabilization - turn it OFF when on a tripod or it makes your pics not as sharp because it's shifting and trying to stabilize when it already is.
