Alright, all the other engine forums have one going, so I figure the Duratec needs one too, even though this engine hasn't been around long. So, how many miles on y'alls Duratecs?:poke:

Oh yeah, mine has < 3.4k after 5 months of ownership.

~27,500 on my 2004... (100 mile daily round trip to school kills any thought of keeping the miles down... :( )

Eh, not really. Saw those already. I'm trying to get one going like the Lima. That one's on page 4, 5, 6 - who knows. Plus those are in the wrong section.

Limas have been around since '74, Duratec's have only been around since mid '01, so just not as many long-term usage yet. I don't see much need to post unless you've logged over 75K on yours yet.

I've only got 37K on mine.

93K on my 2003. Not a single engine problem yet.

I am a little behind on things maintenance-wise.

Still running the original fuel filter, coolant, spark plugs, etc.

I am doing the fuel filter tomorrow, and the coolant next weekend. I think the plugs are 100K plugs, so they'll be done this month sometime. I have had the truck since 25K miles and I have never put anything but Shell gas in, so the fuel filter shouldn't be toooo bad even at 93K miles.

272k on my 01! (I'm not going to mention the rod knock through) Shes currently undergoing a pretty much complete going through. New carpet and seats are in, new engine and trans are sitting in my garage, now I need a grill-hood-bumper and time to get to my OHC and various add ons I want.

That's just nuts. Work vehicle I'm assuming?

She was a delivery truck for an auto parts store in a previous life. I plan on making it to at least half a million though, and considering that the engine I have for it is a new Ford take out I think I have a good shot at it. :0

I've got 65,600 on my 2003 XLT (second owner).

No problems here and averaging 22-24 MPG.

I changed the fuel filter and air filter at 60,000 or so. Yes, the plugs are 100k jobs but I'm thinking about changing them before then.
