alright im sure this is already on here somewhere, but i didnt see it so here goes. my truck when i come to a stop sometimes when it is cold outside the battery level goes down to like 8 on the guage and it starts chugging out on me any clues i thought it was the alternator but i dont know anything else yall can suggest... only thing i can say is the fact that i have a 2 inch exhaust with a flowmaster no cats and it didnt do it before i got it done mind you the cat was clogged up like hell

Did you leave the O2 sensor in it's stock location? Sounds like an emissions issue to me. You should get someone to run diagnostics on the ECU and see.

The O2 could be bad, especially if you have never replaced it. Or it could be the MAF sensor. Is your CEL on?

The O2 sensor may be bad. it should throw a CEL though, nbut not always. The charging system problem could be due to the low ""chugging"" idle . Especially if it's ok at above idle engine speeds. But if it charges low during driving or at night under a load the belt may be slipping or the outside possibility the alternator's voltage regulator was burned out if the battery wasn't disconnected if the exhaust was welded on. Another check is the engine and chassis grounds. They have to be good and tight for Electrical circuits to work and the charging system to perform properly.
