Why is it i can not find rings for a 98 2.5 4 cyl. all the supply houses don't even list a part number.

Most likely because the guys behind the counter are idiots...there is no reason they wouldn't be available.

Odds are, if your rings are worn out, you'll need more than that anyways.

In reality,they do not need to be replaced the end and side gap are still within spec.I just picked up the engine.Had to change the head and was going to replace the rings and bearings while it was apart.The engine is going in my woods buggy.
During my quest for more info on this subject.Some Parts sites
lead me to believe that 96,97 2.3 and 98,99,00 2.5 all share the same ring.Does anyone know if this true?
