the senosr and now the dash gauge has been replaced,

here is what it does.
some times it works fine, but most of the time it
flickers between cold (as in start up) to normal run temp at a very slow or very fast rate but never constsant.

thermo has also been replace and all air perged out.

Check your engine ground, and double check. I've had the exact same problem. Take the ground all the way way, clean, check it out, and put it back on. Check it at the battery as well. Then check the ground strap from the engine to the body.

thanks thats for my truck, i have also been having starter problems,

this will be the third 200$ starter in a year. the wire end of the silonids are not covered on the lifetime waranty, or so auto zone says.
