I would like a software where I can use my laptop to datalog and make changes to the file. IE for my GM products I use HP tuners where I can modify all aspects of the ECM .bin file, upload it.

This is a 93 mustang w/ a single turbo on it.
I was thinking of going w/ a distributor-less 99 ford explorer OBD-II system. I was hoping to do this to avoid going w/ a stand alone system for my single turbo car. The only questions are the crank position sensor (on the pulley or can i use my balancer w/ a reluctor wheel?) and the tach signal to feed my 93 tach. Is the Crank sensor wheel part of the balancer? Would I have to switch to all the short style explorer accessories as well then? I was hoping there were more options available to the OBD II cars then the EEC-IV cars which don't seem to have the options w/o stand alone systems and spending lots of money.

Input?
Thanks
Dave

As long as it is an 8065 processor (eec5 should be), you can use tweecer r/t , sniper or sct. The latter 2 are flashed throught the OBDII, the tweecer plugs into the J3 on the back of the comp like a chip.

I'm using the tweecer on my blown 04 Ranger, complete range of tuning capability, which you'll need for the turbo. I bought on for $450 used, it's worth every penny. If you do look @ tweecer, be aware there are 2 models, one datalogs (R/T) the other doesn't. Check the corral classifieds or ebay.
