Hey guys was wondering if anyone has the powerdyne supercharger kit for their 5.0 explorer and or 5.0 explorer ranger swap? I've been looking into that setup for my 5.0 mounty motor i have for the ranger. i looked at the explorer express unit but i like the expo 5.0 stock manifold and its not the look i'm going for under the hood. So i looked around and found these setups. Now there is also the ford racing supercharger setup and after going to powerdyne and downloading the install manual it looks as if the powerdyne set up is the ford racing setup because it says this is for the frpp supercharger kit when you download it from their site. now i guess ford doesn't give you the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator and i guess the frpp unit is not polished like powerdynes setup is. but for a 2,000 difference i'll take the frpp setup. So my questions are does anyone have pictures of ethier one installed? has anyone installed them? What kind of power did you make with the units? and is the frpp setup the powerdyne setup minus an few parts? and lastly are they good setups and will they last me for a while? Thanks guys.

pinellas50 right after i posted i ended up seeing that post of your install. Do you know if the frpp kit is the same as the powerdyne kit for sure though? if so i'll be buying that one. Now my plans for my motor are to make it a 306 with alumnium heads, small cam, torque monster headers, frpp supercharger, and then have it all tuned with an sct2 tuner. and of course fuel managment up grades(pump, injectors, ect) Just thought i'd tell yas. lol. later.

As far as I know they are the same. That's what I remember reading but I have never seen the 2 kits next to each other to say for sure.
