i just found out that my 85 2.3 ranger has 3.08's(axle 82)...right now im running 31" tires...could someone tell me what my overall ratio is running these tires? i thought for sure i had 3.45's, i guess not...i guess this explains why my truck is so slow lol...thanks

ouch 3.08 (more like 2.6* with those 31's) must be painful for the little 2.3. code 86 means a 3.73 ratio so yeah, you probably do have 3.45's. having 3.73's in that 96 and 4.10's in that 85 will relieve a lot of stress off of the engine as well as make them both drive better - especially that 85'.

haha, thats exactly what i have planned...what's weird is that with my 3.45s i felt that my truck is pretty quick..i can just imagine how its gonna be with the 3.73's

I got a set of 3.73's if you want them

whenever you need something like that, always hit the local junkyards first. saves you lots of money in the long run if you find what you need there
