Oh... I do all the work myself I meant that in the term of buying parts. But do you know of a good dyno around Springfield? If you do tuneing with nitrous that would be helpful. Do you guys do any kind of tuneing? If so what do you tune domestic, import, both?

i dont know of any chassis dynos anywhere close but im trying to find one. the only engine dyno i know of is here in clinton but i heard that he closed down his shop. i had never personally had him machine any engine parts for me because i am taking classes in machine tool technology so i do it all myself but when i was in high school my auto shop class built an engine and put it on his dyno. if you find one let me know. i have done some tuning before but i had all the computers and a chassis dyno to use while i was at college in nashville tennessee. i have done quite a few 3-link 4-link and ladder bar set ups but i dont currently have a welder till i go back to work. they all seem to hook up good and with a little at the track tuning they all did really well. i will get with you some time when my v-8 ranger gets finished and we can go terrorize springfield one weekend and talk some more.

Mines not too fast though...it does ok I guess for what it is. But I do know of a dyno in noel Mo. but I have not dealt with them. A few of my friends have though I will get you some more info. This is the site that most of them are on.

haha i joined last semester i think when i got bored of s10forum just to see what was up over here. then some one posted something about the ranger meet on DO and boom im back! i love rangers just as much as any s10 :thumbsup:

Buy a $500 beater I find them all the time. I got the 95 grand prix for free because it had a blown engine and my dad had a buick century that had a bad trans but with the same engine as the GP. So I picked that engine up for trade(manual labor)and bang one NICE! free car.:naughty:

BTW it helps to be super cheap that is how I find all my deals.:thumbsup:

I like it my friend had one just like it with that little 4.3 and with a 75shot got it into the 14's 14.9 to be exact. Mine is nothing special it's the one in my avatar other than a v8 and an 8.8 rear out of an explorer.

2k for a 347?? I don't know a good rotating assembly is like 1600. unless you are going with cast/hyper pistons. What trans are you using one out of a cobra? Not very many at 300hp but if spray mine I'm their and I would be their and at a smaller budget. Just a thought.:thumbsup:

yea the tranny is gonna be a cobra unit with a adapter kit. i have found the full stroker kit for around 1300-1500 and a 302 block is a dime a dozen

Is that stroker kit with forged slugs? What are you going to do about the heads?stock? If that is what you are doing it just seems like a waste of a stroker to me.:nixweiss: I say stock 302 + spray=300hp easy if you are on a budget. I like the thought of a 6 speed though!:thumbsup:
