I am really considering to attempt to organize a regional meet for 09. i would need some help from people. im thinking sponsors, prizes, trophies the whole deal. what does everyone think? and who is all willing to help out?

that would be awsome for you to help. from how everything seems to be going for the meet as of right now, its going to be pretty big. i haven't even started handing out flyers yet. i posted up on the v-8 ranger, explorerforum, ford forum, ranger-forum, ford-trucks and TRS. trying to get it out there. i think that if this one goes well the regional meet should go over as well. we will have to wait and see how this one turns out, but i want to be preped for it you know.

we should see if JC Whitney would let us use their place + get them as a sponsor. Oh and btw hows that blowing-the-sub thing working out for our sub woofer toss for the WI meet? lol

i have two subs. an alpine and a fosgate. where is the jcwhitney place anyways? ill contact them soon and see what i can dig up.

I know they have a car show every so often out there... i think one in late spring and one early fall. They would probly let us use their location for a meet / show. Could open it to the public as well so it would have a better chance of happening.

kansas city is like an 8 hour drive or something like that for me, we should look into hotels and stuff.

ima throw up a poll later..... we can alway move the meet every year instead of the same place. im thinking somewhere in IL my self . but just my opinion.

that sounds like a plan. i like that. i say we have some sort of game plan on how to approach this. i think a good idea for starters is that we have a get together over some wings:naughty: and get the ideas on what to have there, maybe swap meet? trophys? wet t-shirts? vendors? promoting? maybe have RPS and the other ranger sites have a hand in somehow, somewhere, someway? just a thought. :thumbsup: ideally though, after wi/il meet. we will have some sort of backing into how quick it has grown. not to mention guys from other states and their photos from meets. it will show stylin how organized we are but we do need however the game plan on everything. i don't want to approach them unconfident. ya know, i think it would be fly as hell if we rolled up there with a chit load of rangers to show them we are for real also.

hell yeah man. a sponser would be awesome. maybe like advanced auto parts or other parts house. and or tattoo parlor

as soon as the meet is over i think it will be crunch time to put it together. is that kool with everyone? the sooner the better though. i know that if stylin wer to sponsor the event on there grounds you know there is going to be some sort of magazine coverage. definate props to everyone who is going to help out for sure. :10:

i'll do what ever i can too man. what if we get a few people to go together when we contact a host for the meet. kind of like power by numbers. maybe even get an administrater to sign on. along with admin from other ranger sites to. if there is going to be others. then when that list of a basic game plan is started we could then present it to a host and the even sponsers as well.
