On June 7th, 2008 there will be a truck to truck pull competition held at the Van Wert, Ohio, county fair grounds. I encourage anyone who would like to participate to tell others who would may also want to participate. They have 3 weight classes, 5000Lb. stock mid-size truck and suv, 6500, and 9000 pound. There will also be 100% payback! I am going to participate in the 5000 pound mid-size truck class with my '04 Ranger although I am afraid that there will not be many others in the class, which would be kind of boring. Drivers meeting starts at 6:30 PM and the event begins at 7:00 PM. Pull takes place on a cement pad, D.O.T. approved tires only, no slicks, and coolers are welcome although no glass bottles. What are your plans to make your truck pull hard and not break anything. Too many times I have seen guys mat it and just lose because they spun the tires.

Don't spin the tires (patience and feel is all you need), sporting F-550 helper springs that are active all the time (reduces wheel hop to near nothing and reduces the change of damage), and weighing in at around 4980Lb. Breaking is always a risk whether it be off roading, sled pulling, racing, truck to truck pulling. Anyhow, just letting people know of the event and hoping some will be willing to be participate. I am an amateur at actual competition b/c no-one seems to offer this weight class. Around the diesels (9000Lb. Class) alot though. So does "OK" mean that your going?

I won in the 5000lb class ($80.00). Entries were 360 V8 ext. cab Dodge Dakota, an S-10, and two small blazers. It was a blast. There is another event coming Aug. 9 at the Van Wert County Fair grounds if any one is interested.
