And we were talking about getting a bunch of us together for a meet and greet. And a nice show and shine.

Show is planned for July 26-27 in Springfield, MO. I definately plan on going to this show, and for most of you KC guys should go as well...

As far as staying goes there are several Hotels near by, and some very good places to eat at as well.

So lets get things rolling and figure out who is all going, cool.

And since I am coming from Omaha, NE ; It would be purty cool to meet up with some of you guys in Kansas City and we can make a cruise out of it... What you think ?

So just putting this out there then, when would you rather make the drive ? Friday afternoonish into the night or Saturday early morning ? I will have to work that Friday and I get off work at 3 so I could easily meet you for rush hour traffic in KC...

i dont plan on going down till saturday since im probably not gonna stay down there. i doubt i will go both days unless i can find a campground and stay down there CHEAP, and thats only if i can get it lowered and lookin good and someone convinces me to show.

Showing the truck or not it was still a fun show to attend and really a roof is not that much more, I think last year I paid 65 bucks for 2 people...

But its no biggy I was kind of thinking leaving Saturday morning just to miss the traffic... Uhless someone wants to go cruising at night ?

I'm down with either one...

I would want to avoid hotels though... I have a tent and sleeping bag that I wouldn't mind using in my truck.

So, who knows the campgrounds around that area?

Camping I am not for sure of, they have the show in a parking lot so I do not know if they offer much camping, and a hotel is not to bad, but I know what you are saying.

The south side on republic rd. about as close to Ozark as you can get in Springfield.

Well the swap I am wanting to do will probably take longer than a month, and I still need to find the engine :naughty:

yea and no. i didnt get the truck i wanted to get and i dont know when i will get the money to buy another 4x4 project, or any project for that matter.

oh but the springs i bought from you a LONG time ago should be on this weekend and definatly for the show. but how much would takin out the smallest leaf in the stack lower the rear of my truck? i dont have the money for a drop and i really wanna keep a sport rake but i think leavin the rear stock would be too much of one.

Oh, and why not just do a shackle flip in the back dude? You could put some 1" blocks in it too to keep that small rake.

I'm going to get my front end down by another 1.5" or so and then lower my back with 1" blocks that should be here on Monday. Who knows when I'll get the front done up though...

Removing a leaf is not recomended for a long term drop, I would recomend a shackle flip to get the trucl lower, and with just the drop springs out front you should stil have a little bit of a rake...

Sounds of things we for sure have about 5 people going so it should be a purty good meet, and the show we are going to was purty fun. So it will be worth it :wiggle:

B.O.D, you could go through KC, meet up with Badwil, then cruise down Hwy 71 then turn on Hwy 7 into Clinton. Bug and I will catch up with you there, and then we'll shoot south on Hwy 13 and then find I-65 in Springfield. That'll take us straight into Ozark.

It'll make the ass end of your truck a bit more squirrely on the road. That's about all I can see happening...

i looked at the djm kit and its over 100 bucks for the 3" kit. what are you talking about how do it for just 20 bucks?

Bug, to flip shackles... all you need is a grinder, a jack, a few jackstands, and some grade 8 bolts.

That's it. If you need me to help you, then I'll come down and do that... but it's super easy and requires no aftermarket anything.
