S.O.L. Show - September 20-21 - Joplin, MO [Archive]

So, this show happens to be the same weekend as the September meet was planned. It's only an hour from Springfield, and the first version of this show was a blast, so I can only imagine this one will be too.

Well its official, we are going to throw together another SOL show here in Joplin the 20, 21 of Sept. The owner of the bar we threw it at last time had a blast and has been asking me to throw another one everyday since the last one. He's done more work to the bar since the last show, we now have an outside stage for live bands, and I hope to have the side street block off by the city for a stunt bike show. We are going to have drink specials and since its a 2 day show this time we will be having the after party at the bar with live bands, wet T-shirt contest, and a beer-pong tournament. More details to come but mark your calendars its going down, hope to see everybody there

Well, it's up to everyone else really...I mean, I'm gonna do the SOL show. I hate to flake out on the RPS guys, but this show is in my town, and to keep it going you gotta support it, ya know?

I've got the springs and transmission member on the way. All I have left are some bolts for the hanger flip and the radius arm member. It'll be done by SOL, don't worry...

Just so yall know i wont be going to the show now I let a relly good friend borrow my truck last night and it got wrecked so i wont be going anywhere for a while..and yes i know it was a bad idea to let him borrow it but if you cant trust a friend who the hell can you trust...

Yeah she wanted me thats why she let me take it. It was alot better on gas than the ole cop car. I'm not sure if I'm going yet I'm supposed to be on a week long drinking benge that weekend :friday: (the wife is going out of town for a week :laugh:) hmmm let me guess you running nitrous on that beast?:chacha:

Haha no its mostly stock for now except for the CAI, 180* T-stat, and flowmaster exhaust. Got a 5.0L from a 00 explorer waitin to go in just got to gather up more parts lol

stock=the suck :nxsmile: all the way. I have one from a 99explorer sitting in my shop right now. Let me know what parts you need I might have a few laying around.

I need a 99-01 ECU and wiring harness, battery cable wiring harness, transmission wiring harness, radiator w/hoses, fan and clutch assembly, A/C compressor and lines, throttle cable....thats all I can think of for now haha.

it is exactly one hour @ 75mph to joplin I was gonna leave around 8am

RED X is walmart
Turquoise Lines are the signal lights
White X with circle is Lowes
2 black X's are Quick Trip and Payless Shoes

I would say to park where the yellow circle is that way we find on another

Got accepted to wyotech for next june. Gotta have a vehicle to work on while im there plus ive been really wanting a truck again and well.....2 play toys is a bit much for me, crap just 1 is more then enough...
Besides if things go right I should atleast have a 5/4 drop for under 80 bucks with shocks :)

Stepside is a pain ill let you know. Nobody makes anything for them and everyone wants me to make some fancy diagram thingy that keeps confusing me. LOL

yeah. I've only seen 2 stepsides ever actually fixed up. both of them looked terrible, because of how much you have to raise the flairs to clear tires...but at stock height or dropped a little, i love the stepsides.

side note...CHANGE OF PLANS!!! Instead of meeting at toys-r-us, i think we're gonna meet at the carwash at the corner of 20th and rangeline. I beleive it's called spot not. It's on the east side of the road. Easy to find...be there at 9am...

Best Value Hallmark Inn....and actually its near 36th street on rangeline....so its on the way. I can check in and get down to the wash :)

If we leave Springfield right at 8:00 it take exactly 1hr to get to Joplin well it takes exactly one hour from my house to 43auto on the far west side of Joplin

There is a guy suppose to come from Jackson mo I haven't heard from him in a week so I was gonna wait till at least 8:05 then head out

That sucks...we will be in the area around then unless one of the 'female' types with us decides to take forever in the morning getting prepped. lol. I may not even drive my girl might just so i can :givemebee out the truck...cept it wont be asking for beer............:pimp2:

Just a little recap from todays festivities!

12:42am in Dakotah's basement bout to go to sleep. What a day! Got to see Dan get drunk for the first time, watched his brother fall asleep with Dakotah's big white dog, got to see insanejugheads new 2.3 turbo swap on his 94, watched Dakotah pop wheelies and ride 2 wheels on his 4 wheeler haha damn what a weekend. I'll have pics of tomorrow when I get home!
