Alright, i did some searching, and the only thing i found is how to switch the shifter lever from am Manual T-Case to an Automatic T-Case. I actually want to put the Manual T-Case into my 94, but i am having a hard time finding one. Do you guys know what vehicle these T-Cases are in? My truck is a 94 4x4 with the 4.0 and 5 speed tranny.

Not sure why anyone would replace a manual t-case with an electric :nixweiss:

Anyways. In 90 the use of the 1354 t-case started, finding a manual 1354 is difficult and can go for $250+ easy. A manual 1350 (83-89) will bolt up, you will need the linkage from an A4LD or FM146 tranny, the shift boots needs to come from a M5OD rig (90+ manual tranny). You will need a 1350 front driveshaft (1354 has a fixed front yoke, 1350 uses a slip yoke), if the driveshaft is from an A4LD or FM146 rig it will need to be shortened 1" (the 83-89 rangers used a D28 front axle and is smaller so the driveshaft was longer), a FM145 will have a shorter driveshaft (the transmission was shorter) and should work.

no, i am replacing my automatic t-case for a manual. I have the slip yokes front and rear in my 94, but i have no idea what t-case i have. Is there anyway i can just take the motor off, and put manual linkage on the t-case?

I know you're swapping electric to manual, hence my response...

No you don't have slip yokes at both ends. The slip joints are in the driveshafts, the t-case yoke/flange are fixed, you have a 1354 like any ranger 90+. And no you can't make an electric t-case into a manual, you must find a manual.

as hahns said you can find the 1354 manual in broncoIIs in 1990 and rangers and explorers from 90 on but they are hard to find you can tell by the tag on the tcase on one of the bolts holding the case together. I got lucky yesterday I was looking for 1 and found 1 sitting next to the truck someone had already pulled the tranny it was in a 1990 bII and I paid $148 for mine and i get $20 back when i take the core back in
