Just to let everyone know. The rear re-location hanger that you can typically buy for rangers will not work on b2's (it hits the body floor pan). Flipping the stock rear hangers will work, you have to trim the very back body seam off about 1/2" and you will have to modify the black plastic cover panel bracket that goes from the body to the bumper (if you are still useing the stock bumper).

Good info to know. Too bad I'm going with ladder bars or I'd do that. :)

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. I have to finish triming it out and fix the rust but it gives an idea of how much has to be trimmed.

Bart,
Yes. I was trying to lower the rear without flipping the axle. That alone would not get me low enough so I ended up flipping the axle. It did dropp the rear a couple of inches though.

how much did turning the shackles lower it? and how hard is it to flip the axle over? soory im a noob to lowering fords. what ill effects would be had if the springs where shortended by heating or cutting along with air shocks or bags?

Let me start out by saying "do not heat your spings to drop your vehicle!". This could cause it to break in the future. Having a spring break at 55mph plus could be an experience that you do not want to go thru.

Without heavy modifications, you could get a couple of inches out of the back and front if you flipped your hangers in the back and used lower coils in the front. To get any more than that (and to keep the tires from wearing really funny) you will have to buy new I-beams made specifically for a b2 and you will have to put the rear axle on top of the rear leaf springs. This is assummeing that you have a two wheel drive. If it is a 4x4 you can do the same thing but you loss your front diff.
