as you will see in my profile or what ever thay call that down there. i have a custom true dual set up just like a v8 would have but there is no cross over pipe like a h or x pipe just 2 pipes back.

what would be the point to add a pipe the conn. the two? wouuld i gain any power or would it just be sound? or maby i would louse power?

The H-pipe will equalize the pressure on both sides of the exhaust system, and might gain a horsepower or two. An X-pipe will in most cases make your motor a little more quite, equalize the pressure, and will help the scavanging effect that headers will cause assuming your pipe is not too big (This will make a noticable gain in HP if your exhaust system has much of a restriction.
