so i my mother noticed oil on the driveway this morning. didnt tell me till a half an hour ago. i go out and look and it was extremely thick gearoil like frozen almost. its cold as hell out and i look under my truck and gear oil is splattered everywhere!!! and i can hear a gurgling noise coming from the vent tube and all of the mess leads up to the tube! it has been sitting since atleast 2pm today and im just now noticing the mess so i obviously drove without enough gear oil in the rear. why is it doing this!?!?!?!?!?
can anyone help me at all???? this is a really big pain!!! please help someone!!!!

Oil floats on water, my guess is that you drove through some deep water at some point & your axle is so full now that it's pushing out the gear oil.
That's just the worst case scenario, hopefully I'm wrong!

change your gear oil and see what happens, and also what it looks like coming straight out of the diff

IMHO, changing the oil is your only option. Especially if its full enough to puke. No drain plugs mean the cover needs to come off. Oh joy, I know.

That plus you need to make sure the vent isn't plugged with gunk. it'll keep gasses built up and will start putting gear lube where gear lube doesnt need to be.

?????????????
What are you confused about? Pull the cover and drain the oil/water mix.

its better now i had 90-145 weight or something around there now from lucas oil with transx friction modifier ( advance auto parts) the oil was very dirty which makes me think water got sucked in because the hose was hangin kinda down. i now have 80w-90 syntec blend from valvoline with the transx frisction modifier. i can really feel the difference in the oils and i think the other oil was way to thick for my 2.5.
im liking this gear oil but i was a little iffy before i put it in because i was scared it was to thin and would destroy my L/S. but its working great!
also we noticed the oil leaking out when it was a chill factor of 1 degree here so i the oil was thickening up and spitting out of the breather. i drove the truck and then realized a leak later that day hours after i drove it. the oil was frozen almost solid to my shock, leaf and frame. and the puddle was the consistency of honey. when i got under the truck that night (still havnt drove it for hours) i could hear the oil gurgling up the tube.
all in all a fluid change solved the problem. no seals busted because i dont see stains or gear oil around the hubs

i know oil does not freeze but its consitency thickens a little and made it like honey. but yeah no more problems and im runnin 80w-90 synthetic vlend valvolie with friction modifier for my L/S and now and she drives great
