ok, i have a 2003 Ranger 3.0l 4x2 5 speed. Just had the clutch and slave cylinder done yesterday, due to the clutch going soft and not being able to shift any gears. i did the clutch as well because it was all ripped apart already. Driving home this morn, went to shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd gear grinding. Happened a bunch of times. it will grind and then pop into gear. tried double clutching, pumping the clutch, revs, everything, but still does it. when parked, i cant shift all gears ( including 2nd ) with no grinds.
any idea??

Does the clutch pedal have the right feel? or is it soft? A lot of times when changed, they don't get bled properly, which makes the clutch not disengage completely.
How long since the trans fluid was changed? If its been over 50k miles, change it to some good synthetic atf - that will help shifting also.

the pedal doesn't feel right, still feels a bit soft. i stalled the truck twice trying to leave. did the tranny fluid about 50km ago. im bringing back to the shop on thurs. i need to truck to get back and forth from work. so ill just skip 2nd gear for now. hope it does not hurt anything.
