1993 ford ranger...............im having someproblems with my 4 wheel drive fully disengaging. i replaced the shift motor and that wasnt the problem so my next choice is going to be the switch inside the truck.. but i cant find one and the dealer told me that it was 335 which is more than a brand new shift motor which is 260. so if anyone can give me any info on what could be causing this problem or know where i can get a switch let me know pm me for my cell number if you want it... im half afraid its possibly my t case..
thanks dan

Are you backing up after you disengage?
what are the synptoms? are you sure it's not disengaging, or are the pvh hubs sticking?

93's dont have PVH hubs. They still have crappy hubs.
A buddy had a 94 and it would not disengage until he backed up.

i always back up after i disengage the book says 10 feet i always go 20 to 30 feet though. im almost 100 percent sure its the switch now because i hit on top of the dash directly above the switch and the light goes out. it stays dimly lit sometimes. and when it doesnt go out i just hit it now. the 4x4 light on the guage cluster doesnt always come on but the low range light does. so yeah hopefully thats the problem!
