The vote count has not been released because there is evidence of voting fraud & tampering with the results.

rwenzing was on Cardomain for awhile. He isn't anymore. I was too a long time ago. Luckily I got a screen shoot of it. :) It changes so fast though because there are 8849 rangers on there and anyone can vote on your vehicle.

I was #1 on CD as well before, but #1 here is huge!

But like Adam said, based on what looks to be some vote fraud, the "official" results aren't being released yet. Once there is a full grasp of what went on, the final results will be posted.

Im going to go ahead and make this public now.

It was determined that Metro55 attempted to rig the voting results by registering several accounts, somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 accounts, and voting for himself w/ each of these accounts. Most of these accounts have zero posts, and were only active on the site once, when they registered and voted for him, and then never returned.

Metro also had several votes that came in after the midnight deadline on the day the voting ended, which by itself was enough votes that could have pushed him past Bob for the win, but since they came in after the deadline, the do not count.

Metro has subsequently been banned from Ranger Power Sports for attempting to rig the voting for the TOTY.

It makes me sick that someone would pull such a childish thing on RPS when there were so many worthy winners...:grrr:

Just wanted to point out the fact that even after trying to cheat his way into winning by making some 50 extra accounts, he was still unable to pass Bob's votes which really goes to show how far ahead of the field he was. rwenzing's Lvl II is one sweet ride and it was well deserving of toty...A real helpful guy with a real truck...Congrats!

Well i am good friends with Metro55 and this does surprise me. While i haven't talked to him about it, most of you are wondering why. Well he has put countless hours and a lot of money into his truck(like MANY others) and i am assuming he likes the recognition of having one of the nicest trucks around(in my opinion). Sometimes a "nice truck" or "man i love your truck" just doesn't seem to justify all the work put in. Yeah i know we do it for ourselves, but who can honestly deny the fact that we all love when people are impressed with our rides. While i don't agree with what he did, frankly i don't really care lol, he is still an awesome guy and should not be judged based on this. He's a good friend and will lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loves this site, so i'm hoping after some consideration the ban be lifted. But that is not up to me, nor have i even talked to him about it.

in conclusion, don't hate. It's the internet! lol

And to those saying it went to someone who "truly" deserved it, well yeah i'm not denying that, but don't imply metro did not deserve it. He had a hell of a nice truck and was a super nice guy for the length of his stay on here. One bad decision i suppose and the banhammer is unleashed...

I couldn't vote for TOTY myself, too many awesome trucks, that were completely different from each other. I couldn't vote for a bagged truck, and leave a V8 truck out. But I couldn't vote for a 4X4 and leave out a custom painted ride...

Im going to close this thread now, as it has unfortunately been steered from its intended topic of congratulating Bob for winning RPS Truck of the Year.

The situation involving Metro is unfortunate, and difficult for all parties involved. The decision to remove him from the site was not taken quickly nor lightly. Several hours of work & research on my part went into making the final decision on how to handle the situation.
