Jarrett Jul 02 2001, 09:15pm Even though they're 5 lug the lug pattern isn't the same size.
you have a 5 x 4.5 pattern, the F-150 has a 5 x 5 pattern. There are those adapters, that along with giving you a spacer, but can also change the pattern. But I don't remember where I saw them, some mag I think.
Suspectranger Jul 03 2001, 12:27pm yup
oh that sucks:mad: but i guss it will save me $ in the end
MachRanger Jul 03 2001, 07:21pm On a related note:
There is a company called "Performance Wheel Outlet" which runs ad's in the Truck and Mustang mags. They had an aftermarket Lightning "knockoff" wheel advertised to fit "F-150 / Expedition / Ranger" They have since retracted the Ranger application from their latest ad. Oh well it was a nice fantasy while it lasted.
JBRanger Jul 04 2001, 11:13am Performance Wheel Outlet does however make the Harley wheel to fit rangers!! Just some info.
i think that was the same rim i was thinking about.:cussing:
what does this Harley weel look like? does any one have any pics?
MachRanger Jul 04 2001, 06:32pm I actually like the 99'-00' Lightning wheel better, but here's the Harley F-150 wheel.
oh! the Harley weel. i forgot about that truck.
rangerDD Jul 05 2001, 11:56am IMA.CA is right about the lug pattern being wrong but he is actualy wrong about the F150 lug pattern. The 5x5 is the pre 97 F150s the 97 up is 5x135mm.
eather way thow it still will not fit
JBRanger Jul 05 2001, 02:23pm Did some checking today. There are some adapters to make the lighting wheels fit. They are 65 a piece. I'll have to get the email address tomorrow as it is at work. Sorry. Anyway, but there is hope......:) :)
Detonate69 Jul 12 2001, 04:20pm did anyone ever find out who makes the adapater or maybe even a website. I'd like to get some lightning rims on my 2000 ranger.
JBRanger Jul 12 2001, 04:54pm contact Fred @ wheeladapters.com . He can make them for ya.
gts007 Jul 17 2001, 11:16pm I love the 99-00 L rims and wish they hadn't changed the style for 2001. The 99-00s are waaay better looking IMO.
And wouldn't a 9.5" rim on a lug pattern adapter on a Ranger stick out really far?
Ranger_X Jul 19 2001, 01:51pm while f-150 rims might not work, all mustangs have the 5 on 4.5" pattern. SVT makes some nice wheels for their cobras that would look pretty good on a ranger
JBRanger Jul 20 2001, 05:42am but some of the rims for the mustangs won't fit up front on newer(98+) Rangers w/o an adapter. they do look good though.
Goldie Jul 20 2001, 07:50pm Holy Crap!
I just went onto Kar Kraft (http://www.karkraft.com/wheels_tires_18.htm) and they got 99 Lightning's in chrome for $295.00 each!
Wow, that is a good price im sure! :E
SVTRUCK Jul 25 2001, 04:39am have your checked out these two places yet?
www.capatalwheels.com
They clame to have the bolt pattern for the ranger, and rim size is 18x9.5.
The second place doesen't have a web page but they do have a phone number.
(626) 857-7279
this place might have the same bolt pattren an the rangerbut not sure, and they offer and 20x9 rim.
Both places don't have the newest lighting rims yet:(
Detonate69 Jul 25 2001, 09:10am that link doesn't work
JBRanger Jul 25 2001, 09:19am I think it is www.capitalwheels.com. Not sure though as I couldn't find anything on there. Although I didn't look very good.  :)
