i have a 1984 ford ranger 2.8l v-6 4spd 4x4. The tranny blew up and i was wondering how hard it would be to convert it to 5 speed even though the slave cylinders are different?...the slave cylinder in the 4 speed seems to bolt right in to the tranny but when i had a 2.9L 5 speed it seemed to have a long arm bolted to the tranny.Any difference or would it make a difference.I have been told a 5 speed would bolt up and wouldnt need any mods.help?
