Hey guys I am new here and plan to purchase a 4x4 Ranger soon.
I found one in ND, a black 1999 Ranger XLT reg cab long box for 4000$. Sounds like a nice price to me.

I am new to Rangers, was a Mustang guy before but after moving to Manitoba I definitely need a 4x4.

What should I look for when purchasing the truck? Any known issues on this model year?

Later I could need some advice on lift kits, exhaust and wheels/tires :D

Wow. Yikes. It takes quite a bit of coin to get something up here from the US in some cases. My buddy just did it with a Subaru WRX. Claimed it was worth $7000 IIRC and ended up paying something like $2000 in taxes. Was kinda silly.
