I have an '88 4x4 with the 2.9L and the FM146. I want to swap out to a M5OD-R1 or something similar that is better than my now lunchboxed Mitsu tranny. A tranny from what truck will bolt right in? I hear that the M5OD-R1 is used in Rangers up to today but can I just go to a junk yard and say I want a tranny out of a 94 4x4 V6 and then bolt it in my truck? Thanks for the help!
Oh and I searched the web and came up dry so I don't know what I was doing wrong, or there's not much on this out there.
