Could someone verify this for me. I remember hearing somewhere, I think on this website. But the 2.3 has headers. Plus from looking at them my friend says they look like headers. Would this info be correct?

the 2.3-2.5 does come with a factory header, however there is some concensious that the stock header is very restrictive. i know lone ranger dino'ed hi header and had a 4.4 hp increase over the stock. does anyone know how his progress with the turbo header is going?

i wouldnt really call it a header, it is more of a tubular exhaust manifold. doesnt a header tend to have some bends and contains larger than stock primaries and a special style collector? not to get overly technical or anyhting, but the stock one is a tublar design which is good, but it is not mandrel bent, just by redoing the bends, adding a slightly larger collector, it should produce some more power. dont want to kill back pressure though on the n/a engien or you will loose drivability.

for that much money, hardly anything done to my truck (yet) and such a small gain, I think that I'll wait til it'll make more of a difference (like when I've got over 220 HP and my truck needs a little bit more of an exhaust)

On a stock motor without modifications adding the header is a waste of time. It sounds and looks good and it is worth about 5 extra HP. Now if you are doing some additional modifications the header can be worthwhile and will reward you with more HP.

ok i had this problem with mine when i took out the a/c, if you can provide a picture of it it would be easier... and then i can show you where they go if i remember correctly one of them goes under the windshield washer fluid container theres another connector there that goes inside the truck i think but a picture would be helpful

This statement is not correct. Might I suggest you do a web search on the effects of backpressure, or use the search button in this forum. It has been covered in depth. Not being a smart ass or anything, but I'm sure you want to dispense correct info. joe b
