Does anyone have an audio cip of a n exhaust on a 2.3 ranger. I wanna get a better sound but I'm afraid a better exhaust will give me the unwanted whine of an import with an 8 inch fart tube. What exhaust systems sound the best.

I have a flowmaster 40 and I love it. Not too loud and deep.

RngrRcr- I noticed in you sig, that you have ram air, now I was wanting to do that but I have a dilema, how to go about doing that. I've thought about using 3" intake tubing from autozone. I was thinking about taking off the the inlet tube for the intake and sticking the tube up that hole. Then run the tube down and over to in front of the radiator, and securing it inside there somehow. If you have a picture of how you did it that would be very helpful. Any tips would be very welcome.

THANKS,

Jason

well, i dont have a digi camera so i dont have pics yet. right now my ram air consists of a 1 in radiator hose ran from the air box to the grill and attached to an oil funel as a collector. i had to take a piece off the front of the airbox but i left the baffle in place. the hose fit perfectly into it although it was a pain to bend it in the tight place. it helped going up hills on the highway especially with the ac on. it doesnt get real loud like its bogging. other than that it didnt improve all that much. im planning on building a better one with about 2-3 in pvc and replacing the tube between the air box and the tb with pvc.

whatever material you use be sure it is smooth inside cause turbulence only hinders performance.

ill be happy to answer any other questions you might have.
