i just bought a code puller for my 94 4.0 from walmart (it was 25 bucks and easier to use since i didnt really feel like using the voltmeter.

the place you plug it in is under the hood.

on the main fuse box located by the battery, there is a connector connected to the outside of the fuse box (its on the side that faces the firewall)

it will say EEC TEST on it. should be 2 connections, one is pretty big and has a few wites in it, and the other is a single wire connector.

but it should be located by the main fuse box under the hood
