When my sister had my truck, she had it parked where the neighbors sprinkler would get the passenger side of the truck. When I first got the truck last year I had tried using a rubbing compound on the paint, then waxed it. It got a lot of the water spots off. But now I want to see if I can get even more of the water spots off the paint. I was able to remove them from the bumper via the use of metal polish. Plus I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to get it off your windows?

Thanks in advance.

As far as getting spots off the paint, I don't know...but I was able to get most of the water spots off of my windows with some extra-coarse steel wool. I had some dissinfectant bathroom/tile cleaner called "shower power plus" lying around and I poured it onto the steel wool and watched it sud up real good when rubbing the windows. I could feel 2 1/2 years of grime being uplifted and it worked alot better than rubbing alcohol. It does take alot of muscle and time but it is well worth it. Then I rinsed them and followed up with window spray cleaner, and they looked great. I will tell you that I wasnt able to get 100% of the spotting out, but I got everything that was really noticeable. Also make sure to get the top 1/2 inch of the windows thats concealed when they're rolled up.
