Can I get directed to some info on Performance Chips for the Ranger? I wondered what enhancements it might do. If I can change it, or if the dealer has to. Where to get one and any other info to help me decide on it or not. Thanks! :)

Basically you can go with the Diablo Sport Chip or a Superchip. Most guys around here would tell you to stick with superchips but the Diablo Chip is a bit cheaper. They claim a 10%-15% increase in horepower and torque. The only real down side is that you have to run 93 octane instead of 87. They claim though that you get better gas mileage. Try www.pdqperformance.com for the Diablo, maybe www.superchips.com for the Superchip.

You may also want to consider that your 4.0L SOHC has 9.7:1 compression and advancing the timing with a chip will make it more prone to pinging. I would get the chip as a last mod to squeeze those last HP out.
