new at this ford stuff so here goes anyone running a v-8 and stock 5 speed trans if so what friggin bellhousing did you use some one said an 87 302 housing will work if not what do i need its in an 87 ranger 4x4 with a 300 straight six the bolt pattern is the same as a 302 so the bell housings will interchange any help will be greatly appreciated .

forget the bellhousing how in the hell are you going to fit a 300 straight six under the hood , you,gonna put half in the passenger compartment or you gonna stretch the front end ? If youre using a mustang 5sp you will have to use the stang bellhousing and make a bracket to attach the slave cylinder to the side of the bellhousing.

the 300 fits fine its a little tight but not too bad had to put radiator inthe grill and an electric fan but other than that it fits great . well i found a guy to make an adapter for the trans so as soon as its done i'll put in the motor trans and transfer case gotta have plenty of tourqu to turn those 33 tsls over in the gumbo mud .
