the main thing with black, is having the surface cool & out of the direct sun before you do anything to it: wash, wax, etc

what type of wax do you use?

you should be able to get the waterspots off with some spray wax (quick detailer, showroom shine, whatever...) or use some type of a handglaze or polish. wax usually doesn't budge the spots if they are real bad.

the main thing you have to do like i said is keep it out of the sun & wait till the surface is cool to the touch before you do anything to it..

black is a PITA to keep looking good. my 98 was black & i'll never have another one. they look great when they are all clean. you can't beat it.. but damn i spent more time keeping the 98 clean in the 2 yrs. i had it then i've ever spent on my 00 in the 10 months i've had it

hope i helped:)

I have a black 2k as well... cleaning is a definately bxtch. i'm at the bath at least 3 times a week. after 2 days it looks pretty bad (Dusty, spotty, etc.) I use the absorbed when i dry. that seems to keep it from getting spotty right away, but here in michigan, rains like every other day. i agree w/ kwikness, black looks tight when its clean....ill definately never buy black again.

Black is a great color when it's clean. Mine stays clean looking for a whole day if I'm lucky. I use the absorber and then Meguiar's quick detailer. I have to keep it waxed up really well though.:)

Mine stays clean for quite a while, even though it is black. I usually wax it every few months with super hard shell turtle wax. When I wash her, i rip up and down the streets at over 60 in what i call the "speed dry" then I take an old cotton shirt, and just wipe off water spots... works like a charm

i had a waterspot problem with the camaro cause i washed it and didnt get it dried good enough... i used eagle one wet spray polish on it and it took the spots right off and gave it a just waxed look... it looks awesome... it even took the spots off the factory vinyl racing stripes...

Chamois it off and wax it, the only way to do it.
