I an REALLY looking at getting a JL 500/1 amp. I heard a 300/1 drive 3 10's, and it kicked ass. I was thinking of a PG ZXti600, but now i'm not so sure......

I need opinions, Cuz JL is new to amps, and I love their subs, cuz if you saw the **** my subs took...hehe...anyway, TIA
Oh yeah, both Can be purchased for 1000cdn new, in the box. From a dealer.

Well, I also like JL subs, never have had any probs. As for their amps I have no opinion, to me JL is a reputable company and they may very well be great amps but I personally would wait for reviews. I could recomend PPI, as I have never had any probs.

Well, from what I've heard on audio forums, the new JL amps seem to be pretty nice, and look nice. I'd say go for it :)

JL amps are great. Only because JL dosen't make them they just slap their logo on them. I still would never own one. But what ever floats your boat.

Who makes JL's amps for them? Anybody decent?

i have a PG xs 4600, and never heard a complaint about a PG amp...I have no experience with the JL, but Im not a fan of 90% of their subs...

I'd personally go with the PG, i've owned many PG amps over the last 10 years and they had the best sound Q and control of all the ones I've heard.

I "board tested" one of the new JL's and thought it was a decent amp but from the little A/B'ing I did I liked the PG better.

Got a shop with both near by? If so go try and listen to both on the same set of sppeakers several times.
