List:
The light behind the oil pressure gauge has burned out and needs to be replaced. Can anybody give me some advice on how to get the cluster out of the dash?? Is there any way to reach up from the bottom and do it??

If it matters, truck is a '95 XLT Reg. cab with 2.3l, 5 speed. Truck does NOT have a tach.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Only way to get to it is by taken the dash board off and removing the cluster, It takes about 10 min to get to it and if you do it make sure to mark all the bolts and screws in the order you took them off. Once you remove the cluster you will have to unplug the electronics from the back of the instrument panel and then find the light that is burnt. Good luck!!!

1. Remove the plastic cover under the steering wheels. You will have to take off the hood release too. Let it hang.

2. Loosen the steal plate behind the cover.

3. Remove the cover over the steering wheel. You will need to unplug the light switch to take it off.

4. Unscrew the hex-head screws that hold the cluster in place.

5. Replace light bulb.

Things you'll need: socket wrench, torx (star head), and sockets. I can't remember what size torx or sockets you'll need.

I replaced the gage cluster in mine with a unit from 95 with a tach, It's still half taken apart... I've been lazy:D :D :p

Have fun...
