i havent heard any updtes from lone ranger for awhile so i assume their is no change.
i remember that someone on this board ported out their factory manifolds. sumthin to do that one of the manifolds has a big bump in it? also to increase flow a bit.....
i figure it would be cheap to do.....i would have no emissions to worry about.....cast-iron reliabilty.....no custom work!
unless i hear more about headers....i might just do this....
any experiences with doing this? i might go so far as having then extrude-honed.
thanks for any help!

Hey man whats your times since the new mods??? Have you been to the track lately, I'd like to see the diff the diablo made. Didnt mean to change the subject just thought I'd ask. As for the manifolds go I on the same plane as you about it.... NO more talk of headers I might go this same root.

Cross extrudehone off your "to-do" list. The price I was quoted for a pair of cast iron exhaust manifolds would cover JBA Headers from James Duff and shipping!
Ted did the manifold porting and the "humps" are where the manifold is recessed for the mounting bolts. I highly recommend getting a set from the boneyard, having them glass beaded (to remove the rust, MESSY!) and the porting them. That way, if you cut through the outside (oops! :p ) you still have a running vehicle). After they are finished, you can paint them with something like Eastwood's (http://www.eastwoodco.com) Stainless Steel Hi Temp Paint to keep them in good shape.

hey trailhead! how ya been man?
havent gone to the track yet...evrybody is broke or it threatens to rain and we dont drive the distance(then it doesnt and is a beautiful day!)...by the way did i tel you the track is in richlands not jacksonville? i dont remember if i did or not. your right it isnt in jacksonville..but RIGHT by it.
well the diablo made a nice diff. i noticed that it seems to get better as time goes on.....motor revs harder too :)
as for the manifolds? thanks boss for the info.
extrude-honing is that much? geesh i agree i will not do it!
yeah i was hoping for another set. any on-line place i can source?
reason is i work all day and dont have time to check junkyards,
also i am hoping for 98 and up so i dont have to worry about egr and other fitment issues.
i dont think i will paint it though..thanks for the link anyways...i dont seem to have good luck with painting..besides it would be quite a dead ringer for non-stock! what about wrapping them?
i noticed a post you had on tcca's board at least i think it was you?
i might wrap them up and use them as my secret weapon!
thanks guys!
take care of yourselves!

Great man thx for asking. The good thing about the chips the longer you drive with them in the better they get. I noticed better performance with my superchip after the computer relearned the way I drove with it in. Hey I will be up your way later this summer I'd like to hang out with you if you dont mind. I let you know when to expect me. I will be in swansboro for a week!!! talk to you soon. Good to have you back on the new board!!!

We have a glass beader at work and everyone uses it. Also they have a parts tank where I could wash anything I wanted with degreaser or whatnot!
