do drop i-beams create any additional clearance problems when installing a v8? also, are dream beams strong enough to support the heavier engine? 5.0 or 5.8.

Brandon Miller Jul 24 2001, 07:24pm Nope drop beams don't cause a problem. I've got them on my B2 with the 5.0. In fact, Mark Ford has 3" beams on his Splash with the 347 stroker. I think though I would stick with the true Ibeams and not the dream beams, but that's just my opinion. Shinoda Jul 25 2001, 08:30pm I don't have any problems with my 3" beams. pokemon Jul 26 2001, 08:57pm You said that is OK with the 3" drop How about slamed '93 splash with air bags? Do you think there's no problems if I drop a V8 in the engine bay of that one? thanks. "93 Splash 3.0 air bagged all around clear lighted snug top toneau cover cobra rims tweed interior ect. ect. Brandon Miller Jul 26 2001, 09:02pm As long as the oil pan doesn't hang below the engine crossmember, and it shouldn't, you'll be fine to do what your wallet allows. :) 92rangerscraper Dec 07 2004, 03:27am sorry to hijack this thread but i have a bagged to frame (soon to be bodydropped) 92 ranger and im doing the 302 swap but i was wondering with the low stance if i sould stick with the kaufmans full size headers of use the shortys?.... |
