One radiator hose goes to the bottom of the engine and one goes to the left rear then it disappears out of sight. It is pretty obvious replacing a tstat would be a PIA.:cussing: I have never been afraid of replacing a tstat but they have always been in traditional easy to find places.........on this 2001 Duratec 2.3 I am stumped.

Big Bubba,

Try posting your question on this forum:

I don't know where the thermostat on my duratec is either, but I bet someone there will know.

Why are you worrying about replaceing the thermostat already? Are you towing things, or do you live way up North?

I just went over 15K on my truck. I am running Amsoil 5W-20 full synthetic and changing the oil every 5K as recommended. So far, so good. I am pleased with the engine.

I can't seem to register on that site there is something wrong. The top radiator hose........that's what I was afraid of......I can't even see where the hose is connected to the engine.:cussing:
