I think that it's the same thing that happend before. The rubber brake line that runs to the rear differential has busted. It happend before when my exhaust kept rubbing it & burnt it through. But, my exhaust is different now, so I'm not sure what it is. My fiance & I had just left mom & dad's. About 5 min after we left, i had to slow down for a redlight. I hit the brakes & there weren't any. Pedal goes to the floor. I let off & hit it again. It stopped that time. We pull into the nearest gas station & I check the fluid. It's about 3/4 full below the max line. I fill it up & hit the brakes & look under the truck. There is a puddle under the rear end & fluid dripping off the rear diff. So, I manage to drive it back to mom & dad's & park it. I then kindnapp dad's modded 92 5.2 V8 dakota. Hehe, major ballz! So, I'm goin parts chasin in the morning & I'm gonna get my baby back on the road. Hopefully it's somethin simple. This sucks, but, oh well...stuff happens.

When you fixed it before, did you change all the rubber lines or just the one that broke? Heat damages rubber quickly, it may be another one was cracked as well. Also could just be a loose fitting, maybe one wasn't tightened up enough before.

i just changed the one that broke. I don't remember any other rubber lines under the rear except for that one on the rear differential.

well, the problem just got worse. Nobody & i mean nobody in town (or out of town for that matter) has one in stock. Not even Ford. So, i had to order it & wait till tomorrow morning for it to come in. Which means it'll be tomorrow afternoon before I can work on it & get back on the road. I think what happend to the line is it got pinched. I was goin down my road & some jackass pulled out in front of me & I nailed the brakes. At the same time, I hit a bad bump & the truck bottomed out hard. I think it blew the line then b/c of bein pinched really hard with so much pressure in the line. Atleast that's my theory. Dang this sucks. Another day without my truck!
